Itinerary

Day 1: Almaty city tour

▸Breakfast
▸Visit Kok-Tobe hill, the highest point on the mountain with an excellent view of the entire city and plenty of entertainment options.
▸Explore Zeleny Bazaar, the oldest market in the city, known for its vibrant atmosphere and interesting sights.
▸Visit the oldest church in Central Asia. Zenkov Cathedral (Ascension Cathedral)
▸Lunch @ Vahtanguri Georgian Restaurant
▸At 5:00 PM, we will visit the falconry “Sunkar.” There, we will watch a demonstration of falconry with hunters and falcons.
▸We will visit the Presidential park
▸Take a stroll along Zhibek Zholy Arbat, a pedestrian street with various shops and attractions.
▸In the evening, I will take you to the hotel

Day 2: Almaty - Charyn Canyon - Kaindy

▸Departure from Almaty (in the morning), to the Charyn canyon (220 km, about 3 hours)
▸Arrival in Charyn Canyon, trekking tour (3-5 km, 2.5 hours)
▸Departure to the village of Saty (guest house) (100 km, about 1.5 hours), lunch
▸Departure to Kaindy Lake. Horse riding to the Lake 2km
▸Overnight in the Yurt or guest house in Saty

Day 3: Kolsai Lake - Almaty city

▸Breakfast in Saty (guest house)
▸Departure to Kolsai Lake (15 km approximately 20 minutes)
▸Arrival to Kolsai Lake. Sightseeing of the lake and attractions
▸Departure to the village of Saty (guest house) (15 km, about 20 minutes), lunch
▸Departure to Almaty (220 km approximately 3 hours), I Drive you to the Hotel

Day 4: Big Almaty Lake and Turgen Gorge

▸In the morning I will pick you up from the hotel and we will go to the Big Almaty Lake which is 25 km away
▸On the road to Big Almaty Lake, we will visit Sunkar Falconry Centre
▸After that we will go to the city, have a meal in a restaurant and I will take you to the Turgen National Park, this Gorge (80 km)
▸Admire the mountain Scenery
▸In the evening We will return to Almaty

Day 5: Almaty-Taraz

▸In the morning, I will pick you up
▸Departure to the city of Taraz
▸Dinner
▸Overnight at a hotel in Taraz

Day 6: Exploring Taraz

▸09:00 visit to the Local History Museum of Taraz
▸Departure to Kone-Taraz (ancient city); excursion
▸13:00 lunch
▸15:00 visit to the Tortkol Caravan Palace
▸18:30 dinner
▸Overnight at a hotel in Taraz

Day 7: Shymkent

▸08:00 breakfast
▸09:00 departure to Shymkent

▸Visit to the Ak Mosque Cave

Day 8: Otyrar-Turkestan

▸08:00 breakfast
▸08:30 departure to the city of Otyrar
▸10:00 arrival, rest, excursion

▸14:00 visit to the Mausoleum of Arystan-Bab; excursion
▸18:00 dinner
▸19:00 departure to the city of Turkestan (1 hour on the way)
▸20:00 arrival
▸Overnight in Turkestan

Day 9: Exploring Turkestan

▸07:00 breakfast
▸08:30 free time in Turkestan (visiting sights and holy places and Caravan Palace)
▸19:00 dinner
▸20:30 overnight at the hotel in Turkestan

Day 10: Astana

▸In the morning you will fly to Astana (the ticket will cost $ 50-55per person)
▸A person will meet you and put you in a hotel in Astana
▸We will Start touring NurSultan on Independence Square with gorgeous fountains, 91 meter high snow-white style Kazakh Eli, Khazret Sultan Mosque, and Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. We will Cross Ishim River and continue sightseeing on the left bank of the river. Visit Bayterek monument to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view on the city on the top of the monument. Take a walk on Green Water Boulevard and visit the Round Square. At the end of the tour, visit shopping and entertainment center Khan Shatyr
-We will drive to memorial complex ALZHIR, located 40 km away from the city. Concentration camp was built in the middle of vast Kazakh steppe in 1938 and stopped functioning in 1953, the year Stalin died. For 15 years, just as much as 20,000 women were brought to the camp from different regions of USSR. In 2007, memorial complex was opened on the territory of the former camp ALZHIR to commemorate those who have fallen under Stalin repressions.
In the afternoon, return to NurSultan. Drop off at your hotel.
