Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome To Almaty
Turgen Gorge Issyk Lake
Turgen Gorge:

Head into the beautiful Ile-Alatau National Park to explore the Turgen Gorge. Enjoy a scenic hike through lush forests to reach the impressive Bear Waterfall (Medvezhy), a perfect spot for nature photography.

Issyk Lake:

Visit the stunning alpine Lake Issyk, located at an altitude of over 1,700 meters. Learn about its dramatic history and take in the breathtaking views of the turquoise water surrounded by dense forests and mountain peaks.

Return to Almaty:

Head back to the city for a free evening.

Day 2: Canyons & Village Life

Charyn Canyon: Morning departure from the city to the famous Charyn
Canyon. We will take a scenic walk through the “Valley of Castles,”
marveling at the towering, red sedimentary rock formations.
Black Canyon: A quick stop at the dramatic Black Canyon, known for its
dark, rugged cliffs and the rushing Charyn River below. It’s a perfect spot
for panoramic photos.
Overnight in Saty: Arrive in the quiet mountain village of Saty. You will
check into a cozy, traditional guesthouse, enjoy a home-cooked local
dinner, and experience authentic rural Kazakh hospitality.

Day 3: The Majestic Alpine Lakes

Lake Kaindy: After breakfast, we take a short off-road trip to Lake Kaindy.
Famous for its surreal “sunken forest,” you will see the striking spruce tree
trunks rising directly out of the vibrant turquoise water.
Kolsai Lakes: Next, we visit the lower Kolsai Lake, often called the “Pearl of
the Tien Shan.” Enjoy a peaceful walk along the pristine alpine water,
surrounded by dense evergreen forests.
Return to Almaty: In the late afternoon, we will begin our scenic drive back
to the city. Check back into your Almaty hotel and enjoy a free evening.

Day 4: City Highlights & Departure

Green Bazaar: Start your morning experiencing the vibrant local culture at
the Green Bazaar. Taste fresh produce, sample local treats like kurt (dry
cheese) or horse meat delicacies, and shop for souvenirs, nuts, and spices.
Panfilov Park: Take a leisurely walk through this historic park. The highlight
here is the stunning Zenkov Cathedral, a colorful, towering Russian
Orthodox church built entirely of wood without a single nail.
Kok Tobe Hill: Ride the iconic cable car up to Kok Tobe. Enjoy panoramic,
bird’s-eye views of Almaty and the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
Airport Transfer: After a full day of exploring the city, you will be
transferred back to Almaty International Airport for your departure flight.
